Erich Schrader is a photographer, commercial fisherman, biologist and lover of the ocean. He studied Marine Biology at Eckerd College which led him to work as a fisheries biologist in Alaska where he lived for several years aboard a number of commercial fishing vessels in the Gulf of Alaska and Bering Sea. An avid fisherman since a young age, this work inevitably led him to commercial salmon fishing in Alaska where he now works seasonally as a fisherman. Inspired by the stories that exist on the fringes of society, Erich travels with a camera in hand and is an opportunistic photographer who photographs the world around him through his lived experiences.
